RECPDCL Grants ISTS Transmission SPV ‘KPS1’ To Megha Engineering

On Friday, the REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) announced granting the project-specific Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV)—KPS1 Transmission Limited to Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited.

An official release from REC said that the firm was awarded the project after it emerged as the successful bidder of the power ministry’s Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) project, where RCEPDCL was the bid coordinator.

The selection of the firm was carried out through a tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB). The bid was called to select a transmission service provider for the project. The work involves the implementation of KPS1-Khavda PS GIS (KPS2) 765 kV double circuit line & augmentation of Khavda PS1. The project is targeted to be implemented in 21 months.

The SPV was handed over by Rahul Dwivedi, CEO, RECPDCL, to Shri Pravin Sharad Dixit, Vice President, Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd. at a function in Gurugram last evening in the presence of Shri P.S. Hariharan, CGM, RECPDCL and other senior officials of RECPDCL, MEIL & CTUIL.
