PVV Infra board of directors has executed entered into a technology collaboration with ITC Services Company Limited, Taiwan through an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ITC Services Company Limited. In a regulatory filing, PVV Infra said that latest collaboration aims to provide consultancy, customisation, and technology transfer.
The customisation and technology transfer would relate to high-efficiency solar cell manufacturing, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), micro-inverters, smart power electronics, and other related renewable energy products, integration solutions, and production technologies.
This collaboration marks a key step toward establishing PVV Infra’s Integrated Clean Energy Manufacturing Complex, designed to develop multiple renewable energy projects. This includes the development of a 1.2 GW solar cell manufacturing facility based on TOPCon technology, a 1 GW solar module assembly unit, BESS assembly facilities, and a micro-inverter manufacturing plant.
Additionally, the MoU provides for joint development, trial production, training, process stabilisation, and the transfer of manufacturing documentation. The project is expected to follow a phased development and technology deployment plan targeted for completion within 14–18 months, strengthening PVV Infra’s transition into advanced renewable energy manufacturing.
Expansion in Andhra Pradesh
PVV Infra’s integrated project, as outlined in the company’s Detailed Project Report (DPR), represents a vertically integrated clean energy manufacturing ecosystem aimed at addressing India’s domestic manufacturing gap.
The company had earlier signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh government on November 15, 2025, to develop renewable energy manufacturing infrastructure worth approximately ₹650 crore.
Following the strategic technology partnership with ITC Services Company Limited and the expansion of the project scope to include integrated manufacturing across solar cells, modules, energy storage systems, and smart power electronics, the total project value is now proposed to be enhanced to approximately ₹1,250 crore. The expansion remains subject to phased implementation, financing closure, and execution milestones.
Earlier, the Andhra Pradesh government had also approved the development of solar cell and module manufacturing facilities in the state for companies such as Websol Energy System. Through its Industries & Commerce Department, the state government issued a government order approving Websol’s proposed greenfield 4 GW solar cell and solar module manufacturing project.
The manufacturing facility will be located at the Multiproduct Special Economic Zone (MPSEZ) in Naidupeta, Tirupati district, Andhra Pradesh. The approval follows the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Websol Energy System and the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) on November 15, 2025.
