Purvah Green Power Signs LOI with Klasscorp Solutions for 250 MW Wind Project in Karnataka

Purvah Green Power, subsidiary of CESC, has signed a binding LOI with Klasscorp Solutions for consultancy services for a 250 MW wind farm project at Bijapur CTU in Karnataka.

CESC Limited’s subsidiary, Purvah Green Power Private Limited, has signed a binding letter of intent (LOI) with Klasscorp Solutions Private Limited for consultancy services related to a 250 MW wind farm project at Bijapur CTU in Karnataka.

Under the LOI, Klasscorp Solutions will provide land acquisition consultancy and related project development services for the proposed wind farm. The engagement encompasses support during project development and execution phases, forming an integral part of Purvah Green Power’s renewable energy portfolio expansion.

The LOI remains valid for one year from the execution date or until the signing of definitive agreements, whichever occurs earlier.

CESC confirmed that the transaction does not involve any related party, as neither the promoter nor the promoter group of Purvah Green Power has any interest in Klasscorp Solutions.

Purvah Green Power Future Plans

In June 2025, the company told in an investor's presentation, is currently executing 3.2 GW of hybrid renewable projects, comprising 1,200 megawatts (MW) of solar and wind capacity - 600 MW each - in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh. Power offtake agreements for these projects are already in place.

Recently, Purvah Green Power has entered into a framework agreement with Envision Energy India Private Limited for the supply and commissioning of 1 GW of wind turbine generators (WTGs).

The company, in its Phase 1 plan, aims to add 3.2 GW of renewable capacity by fiscal year 2029 (FY29), with a Phase 2 target of reaching a total capacity of 10 GW. Additionally, Purvah aims to secure grid connectivity for 5.8 GW across high wind and solar potential states, including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.
