Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has released a tender and invited bids for the development of 100 MW solar power projects as well as associated transmission system. The project will be established in Bathinda, Punjab.

The last date to submit the bid is December 18, 2024.

The earnest money deposit to be submitted by the bidder is INR 100 million. The winning bidder must submit performance bank guarantee of INR 250 million. PSPCL will offer the required project land on a lease basis at a rate of INR 1 per acre per year.

The tender emphasizes the adoption of well-established technology. The tender underlines that the Capacity Utilisation Factor (CUF) for the projects should not be below 19 per cent. At the same time, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited mandates the employment of indigenously manufactured solar modules enlisted in the ALMM (Approved List of Models and Manufacturers). The modules must carry a warranty for output peak watt capacity, promising a minimum of 90 per cent at the conclusion of 10 years and 80 per cent at the conclusion of 25 years.

Earlier, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited invited bids for the procurement of 500 MW of power from grid-connected ground-mount or floating solar projects established in Punjab. It also issued a tender for the procurement of 1000 MW of solar power via competitive bidding.

In August, the green energy arm of SJVN Ltd, SJVN Green Energy Ltd (SGEL) has inked two agreements with PSPCL for the supply of 1,200 MW of solar power from its projects.
