PTC India aims to infuse Rs. 600cr into PTC Energy, eyes generating 300MW renewable energy: Report

PTC IndiaPTC India is reportedly planning to pump-in Rs. 600crore into PTC Energy to generate 300MW renewable energy by March under the wholly-owned subsidiary.

A senior company official with the power trading company speaking to Moneycontrol said “We will capitalise it to set up another 250 MW capacity. Our objective is to make it a 300 MW generation company by March next year.”

The 300MW capacity will be generated majorly from wind and miniscule part from solar. In 2015-16 PTC India invested Rs. 85.69 crore in the power generation arm.

Early this year in March PTC Energy Limited (PEL) announced that it has achieved successful commissioning of it’s 30 MW Wind Power Project at Jaora, Ratlam District in Madhya Pradesh. The Project comprising of 15 No. Gamesa make Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) of  2 MW capacity each has been successfully synchronized through 2 no. 33kV Ratlam Wind Farm Feeders at 132/33kV Jaora substation of M.P Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Co. Ltd.
