Solar energy supply company, PROINSO continues to consolidate its 6 year presence in India by announcing a new R&D and Training facility in Mumbai and increasing manufacturing exports.

The company’s firm commitment to India is reflected in the company’s growing presence in the country, currently counting over 50 employees having pan-India presence in its three divisions of Distribution and Integration, Manufacturing, and EPM (Engineering, Procurement and Management). PROINSO India started operations in 2011.

Managing Director of South Asia, Kunal Chandra, said, “We have been in the Indian market since 2011 and have always been committed to its long-term growth and consequently our long-term investment in our country.” He further added “With over a decade of experience in solar across global markets, we have an excellent grasp of the ebb and flow of domestic markets, with lessons firmly planted in PROINSO’s DNA; we share these with our clients to help make them risk resilient and opportunity ready to meet the market growth and challenges ahead. We continue also to increase our CSR activity in India and engagement with Indian national rugby unions as sponsors.

Apart from the growing workforce, PROINSO is giving its own contribution towards realizing the Indian Prime Minister’s ‘Make in India’ concept. Another Indian-manufactured product added to its portfolio is the horizontal single axis solar tracker (TURNSOLE) which is powered by OMRON; a company with over 80 years’ experience in electronics. This tracker will be exported and distributed through PROINSO’s global network on 6 continents.

Dinesh Arya, Senior Trade and Investment Advisor for Energy at UK Trade & Investment commented on PROINSO’s role between the UK and India’s bilateral relationship, “PROINSO is an example of a company that is actively working to promote the knowledge transfer between its global workforce and manufacturing partners and solar energy professionals in India. In this way, PROINSO is leveraging its position as a global leader to build competencies in India’s fast growing solar industry. It’s year-on-year growth is a success story that other UK companies are encouraged to follow.”

ROINSO’s commitment to learning was reaffirmed by the recently held series of exclusive training events in India. Working side-by-side with world leading solar manufacturers like SMA Solar, Huawei and JinkoSolar, the company delivered exclusive training events in Bangalore, Mumbai and Hyderabad to its customers where they could learn about the latest products, technologies and installation best-practices.
