PM-KUSUM: MSEDCL Awards Over ₹750 Crore Solar Pump Orders to Shakti, Oswal, Saatvik

Among the winners, Shakti Pumps received a LoA for 12,883 Solar Water Pumps from MSEDCL. Saatvik Green Energy received an order from MSEDCL for 815 solar water pumps for approximately ₹13.50 cr, and Oswal Pump received LoA from MSEDCL for ₹380 crore

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has recently awarded solar pump orders to multiple companies under the PM-KUSUM scheme Component B, to Oswal Pumps, Shakti Pumps, and Saatvik Green Energy. Combined together, these companies secured over ₹750 Crore Solar Pump under the scheme.

Shakti Pumps Gets 356.77 crore order from MSEDCL

Among the winners, Shakti Pumps, an energy-efficient pumps and motors manufacturer, received a Letter of Empanelment/Letter of Award for 12,883 Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL).

The company mentioned project details in a press release, securing the order under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana / PM-KUSUM-B at ₹356.77 crore. The company’s latest order stands out among a series of wins that collectively added nearly ₹900 crore in new orders over the past 15 days.

These consecutive order inflows include a Letter of Empanelment from MSEDCL for 16,025 SPWPS valued at ₹443.78 crore, along with smaller orders from Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and other states. This reflects strong demand visibility and a healthy pipeline of opportunities.

On winning the latest order, Shakti Pumps (India) Chairman, Dinesh Patidar, said, “The recent series of large orders, including today’s ₹356.77 crore order, reflects strong demand momentum and validates our execution capabilities. Saatvik Green Energy Gets ₹13.50 cr Order From MSEDCL

Another renewable energy company, Saatvik Green Energy, has also received an order from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana / PM-KUSUM-B scheme. The company secured an 815 solar water pumps supply order comprising 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP capacity for approximately ₹13.50 crore (excluding GST).

Saatvik Green Energy said it will design, manufacture, supply, transport, install, test, and commission off-grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) across identified farmer sites in Maharashtra. Under the scope of the contract, the company will also provide a complete system warranty, repair and maintenance services, and a remote monitoring system for a period of five years, ensuring long-term performance reliability for farmers. Installation and commissioning of the systems will be completed within 60 days from the date of issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) or work order by the respective circle office.

Commenting on the development, Prashant Mathur, CEO of Saatvik Green Energy Limited, said, "Solar irrigation is one of the most direct ways clean energy can positively impact farmers’ livelihoods. This order from MSEDCL reflects growing confidence in Saatvik’s ability to deliver reliable, domestically manufactured solar solutions at scale, while supporting national programs such as PM-KUSUM.”

Oswal Pump Gets ₹380 crore order from MSEDCL

Another solar pump company, Oswal Pumps, has also received a Letter of Empanelment/Letter of Award from MSEDCL for 13,738 off-grid DC Solar Water Pumping Systems for approximately ₹380 crore (including GST). This project is expected to be executed within one year under the PM-KUSUM-B scheme “Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana. 

The scope of work includes the design, manufacture, supply, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of off-grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP capacity at identified farmer sites across districts in Maharashtra.

This also includes a complete system warranty, repair and maintenance services, and a Remote Monitoring System (RMS) for five years under the PM-KUSUM-B scheme. The Letter of Empanelment/Letter of Award is valid for one year. Installation will be completed within 60 days from the date of issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP), work order, or JSR approval.
