Piaggio Onboards Dhiraj Tripathi as Vice President, Export & Electric Vehicles

Subsidiary of automotive firm, Piaggio Group, Piaggio Vehicles has appointed Dhiraj Tripathi as Vice President for Export & Electric Vehicles (EVs). Tripathi will be responsible for sales, service, marketing and Business Development.

Tripathi brings to the table 25 years of experience in the automotive industry in B2B, B2C Sales Operations, revenue enhancement among other areas of expertise.  Before being appointed by Piaggio, Tripathi has worked with Hero MotorCorp, Bajaj Auto, Castrol, Honda Cars India, Daewoo Motors. He had an essential role to play as the Chief Operating Officer at Electric One. In his new role, Tripathi will be reporting to the Chairman and Director of Piaggio Vehicles, Diego Graffi. In a recent announcement, Piaggio Vehicles partnered with green NBFC, Ecofy, paving the way for the financing of electric three-wheelers. In December 2022, Bengaluru based EV financing fintech, Three Wheels United (TWU) signed an MoU with Piaggio Vehicles for the procurement of 3300 electric three-wheelers to be deployed over the next 18 months across Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.
