The Green Energy Auction Bids Evaluation and Awards Committee has awarded capacity worth 1,870.8 MW for ground-mounted projects and another 90 MW of capacity for floating solar power. 10 MW of capacity has been assigned for rooftop solar while 960.28 MW has been allocated for onshore wind power.

As opposed to the final capacity of 1.97 GW that has been awarded, a tender of 11.6 GW of renewable energy capacity, had been planned initially, suggesting that the tender was greatly undersubscribed.

The successful project developers selected through bidding will enter into 20-year power purchase agreements.
