Panasonic Demonstrates New Technology Solution to Optimise Renewable Energy

Global electronics and RE late entrant Panasonic has announced that it has developed an innovation to enhance renewable energy. The company has introduced an experiment called ‘H2 KIBOU FIELD’ at the Kusatsu factory in Shiga Prefecture, Japan. In the novel experiment, Panasonic found that battery storages, pure hydrogen fuel cell generators and solar PV generators can be made to work together for a stable supply of power and appropriate control in a building or facility.

Panasonic calls it the first demonstration in the world where a factory can source 100% electricity consumed by it entirely from hydrogen harnessed through renewable energy.

Panasonic also calls the technology ‘Green Impact’ that diminishes the carbon dioxide emissions. All Panasonic firms will be zero carbon dioxide emitters by the end of this decade. It is coming up with home appliances with the latest technology for the very purpose. The company is also working on home-based fuel cell ‘Ene-Farm’ and also hydrogen tech.

The company has held that H2 KIBOU FIELD offers stable supply of electricity through its management system. This system is built on an integrated control of the power generators that produce 500KW and electricity storage systems.

Panasonic held that the novel system is unaffected by climate change that could be employed by many companies that want to achieve 100% electricity employed from RE sources.

Panasonic is investing in technology to step-up the renewable energy development world over. Previously, the company brought EverVolt Solar Modules series to accompany its EverVolt Battery Storage system to provide efficiency and performance – even in high temperatures – as well as exceptional degradation rates, and are backed by Panasonic’s TripleGuard and AllGuard 25-year warranties.

In August this year, Panasonic said it looks to open another factory in the USA to produce EV batteries. The new facility would produce 4680 cells for Tesla. In July, Panasonic had announced a plant coming up in Kansas with an investment of $4 billion and the second factory will be of a similar kind in Oklahoma.
