Pahal Solar Introduces 570W TOPCon DCR Modules

Gujarat-based solar module manufacturer Pahal Solar has now introduced its 570-watt TOPCon solar modules. The company said that these modules comply with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE’s) Domestic Content Requirement (DCR). It also said that they have been specially launched to cater to the rising demand for high efficient solar modules for the rooftop solar segment especially in the residential sector.

This comes at a time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the PM Surya Ghar and promised connections of rooftop solar for one crore households. As per the industry estimates, the new ambitious scheme could led to the installations of around 30 GW of new solar capacities.

“We’re excited to introduce Pahal Solar’s #570WDCR module, perfectly tailored for the PM Surya Ghar Yojna. Our cutting-edge module features a robust #16BB design and a durable #40mm frame, ensuring maximum efficiency and longevity,” the company said in a media statement. 

New features 

The Surat-based company talks about its 16 BB technology. 40 mm of frame which reportedly can withstand toughest weather conditions. However, Pahal Solar is not alone in the race of coming out with specialised products to cater to the demands of PM Surya Ghar scheme. Earlier, India’s solar behemoth Adani Solar had also launched TOPCon solar modules under the DCR category.

The DCR modules not only can help these solar manufacturing firms to supply their products to the PM Surya Ghar consumers but can also allow them to be a part of PM-KUSUM and other government schemes which mandate the usage of DCR modules.

With the passage of time, solar rooftop installers have shifted their interest from the low efficient polycrystalline modules to Mono-PERC and later with bifacial modules under this category. Slowly selected Indian solar manufacturers also attempted to manufacture TOPCon solar modules under the DCR category.
