Oriana Power Bags INR 138 Cr Solar Project from BCCL

Oriana Power Wins 29 MW Captive Open Access Solar Plant Project

Solar solutions provider Oriana Power Ltd. has won a contract from Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL). Under this agreement, Oriana will be responsible for setting up a 20 MW AC ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant in Dugdha Washery Area, Dhanbad, Jharkhand.

The EPC phase of the project, whose value is pegged at INR 138 crores, is slated for commissioning within 12 months. The project cost also encompasses O&M (for a period of five years) and GST charges.

Oriana Power will now look into the life cycle of the project, which will also entail design, purchase of solar equipment, construction, testing, commissioning, integration with the transmission network,

The project will provide power to more than 10,000 homes, curbing around 26,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year.

Earlier, the firm commissioned a 2.7 MWp single rooftop solar power plant. The solar project has been established at the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) in Panipat, Haryana.
