Omega Seiki, Log9 Launch ‘Fastest-Charging Electric 3-Wheeler’

Omega Seiki Mobility, in partnership with advanced battery-tech startup Log 9 Materials, has introduced its first in segment fastest-charging electric 3-Wheeler Rage+ Rapid EV, the company said in a recent statement.

The firm has commenced accepting pre-booking for Rage+ Rapid EV in two variants: Rage+ RapidEV Open Carrier Half Tray (discounted ex-showroom price ₹3.59 lakh) and Rage+ RapidEV with 140 cubic ft. top body container (discounted ex-showroom price ₹3.99 lakh). The pre-booking payment is ₹10,000 for the first 1000 customers.

Following the closure of the online pre-booking event, representatives from Omega Seiki/Log 9 team will get in touch with those customers who made the partial payment in order to facilitate completion of the remaining payment process and formalities. The vehicle is expected to be dispatched and shipped to the customer within 4-6 weeks from the date when their pre-booking is made.

Both the variants of Omega Seiki’s Rage+ Rapid EVs consist of RapidX 6000 fast-charging batteries based on the flagship InstaCharge technology invented by Log 9 Materials, enabling the vehicles to get fully charged within 35 minutes. The batteries are designed to work within tough Indian weather conditions between operating temperatures of -30°C to +60°C, allowing up to 40,000 charge-discharge cycles and hence 10+ years of battery life, and will provide a range of 90km+ in a single charge when fully charged.

The Rage+ Rapid EVs also comes with ₹1 lakh buy back guarantee within 5 years (after the purchase); this buyback guarantee is a first in the Indian market and attempts to solve the challenges associated with resale value of EVs.
