Odisha Issues Tender For Rooftop Solar Projects At Multiple Locations Tata Power Renewable Energy to Set Up 41 MW Captive Solar Plant for 4.3 GW Solar Manufacturing Unit in Tamil Nadu

The Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA) has issued a tender for rooftop solar projects and solar lighting at multiple locations across the state. It included developing solar rooftop projects of different capacities at hospitals, government buildings in Puri, and other locations.

As per the tender document, the state agency wanted to develop rooftop solar (RTS) systems at Puri Swargadwara, Puri Zilla Parishad building. It also discussed developing a grid-connected and battery power backup for 4-4.5 hours for the sub-divisional hospital at Talcher, Community Health Centre at Khamar and Upper Primary Health Centre at Angul. It has also issued a tender for installing solar rooftops at Sainik School in Sambalpur.

It was in addition to the proposed solar lighting projects at several villages and blocks in the Jajpur district. Most of these RTS projects range from 30 Kw to 150 Kw. All of these RTS projects are on-grid in nature. However, for the RTS projects in hospitals, OREDA has asked for power backup too.

OREDA said that the bidders could send their pre-bid queries up to June 19 while the pre-bid meeting would be held virtually on June 22. It has also asked to submit online copies of the bids up to July 10 and physical copies of the bids up to July 11. OREDA would open the bids on July 12.

As per the mandate of the tender, the developers would have to take care of the design, engineering, supply, testing and commission of the RTS projects with a comprehensive maintenance of five years. OREDA said that the bidders with pending work volume over 40% of previously allocated by OREDA work order beyond the SCOD would not be eligible for this tender.

It, however, allowed joint ventures, consortiums and subcontractors to bid for the tender.
