Odisha is reportedly targeting 70MW of rooftop solar by 2022. Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA) has already received multiple residential applications for the installation of rooftop solar reports PV Tech.
Ashok Choudhury, deputy director of projects at the Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA), speaking to the publication said it will cost around Rs. 100 million (US$1.49 million) per MW. He added “It will be kind of a mix. There will be government buildings, private institutions, and residential buildings – all that together to reach the target.”
To achieve the target OREDA has already started approaching government organizations and private and residential sectors.
