NTPC Tenders for Commissioning of Solar Panels on CW Channel of NTPC Dadri

NTPC has tendered for the installation of solar panels worth 200 kWp on the CW Channel at NTPC Dadri.

NTPC Ltd has issued a tender, inviting bids from eligible bidders, for the installation of solar panels worth a cumulative 200 kWp capacity on the CW Channel at NTPC Dadri.

The scope of work for the selected developers will include the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the solar panels (200 kWp) on CW Channel as per approved drawing, technical specifications and as per the direction of EIC. The developers will also be required to conduct the performance test for the installed solar panels.

The last date for bid submission is March 25, 2021, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date. 

It has been specified that only Class-I local suppliers’ will be eligible to participate in this tender. The local content requirement to categorise a Bidder/Supplier as ‘Class-I local supplier’ is minimum 50 percent. Further, any ‘Bidder from a country which shares a land border with India’, as specified in the Bidding Documents, will be eligible to bid in this tender only if bidder is registered with the Competent Authority as mentioned in the bidding documents.

To be eligible for participating in the bidding process, the bidder should have successfully executed works of supply, erection and commissioning of solar PhotoVoltaic (PV) based grid-connected power plant(s) of installed capacity of 160 kWp or higher at a single location. The afore-mentioned plant must have been in successful operation for at least six months prior to the date of techno-commercial bid opening.

Financially, the average annual financial turnover of the bidder during the last three financial years as on the date of techno-commercial bid opening should not be less than Rs 1.43 crore. And the bidder should have successfully executed any one of the following “Similar Work” during the preceding seven years:

Single order of contract value not less than Rs 114.2 lakh. Or 

Two orders, each of contract value not less than Rs 71.43 lakhs. Or

Three orders, each of contact value not less than Rs. 57.14 lakhs.

Recently, NTPC Regional Executive Director (South) C V Anand has said that NTPC Southern Region is likely to commission about 217 MW floating solar capacity, including one of the largest floating solar power plants of 100 MW at Ramagundam, by May-June this year. Further, a 230 MWac ground solar project is also being established at Ettayapuram near Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu.
