NTPC Issues Tender For 2-MW Solar Project At Agartala Airport

NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN), A wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Ltd., has invited bids for the development of 2-MW (AC) Grid Connected Solar PV Project at Tripura Airport in Agartala, Tripura.

The tender is for Design, Engineering, Supply, Construction, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of the Grid Connected Solar PV Projects at Agartala Airport. The scope of work also includes three years Operations and Maintenance Work (O&M).

The last day for bid submission is February 17, 2023 and the bids will be opened on February 20, 2023. The NTPC tender says that all bids are required to be accompanied by Bid Security for an amount of Rs 20 lakhs.

Qualifying Requirements For Bidders

NTPC held that a  Bidder is required have designed, supplied, erected/ supervised erection and commissioned/ supervised commissioning of Solar PV grid-connected power plants of cumulative installed capacity of 800 kWp or higher, out of which at least one plant should have been of 100 kWp or higher capacity.

Also, a Bidder should have executed in the last 10 years an industrial project either as developer or as EPC Contractor in the area of power/ steel/ oil and gas/ petro-chemical/ fertilizer/cement/coal mining including coal handling plant and/ or any other process industry, of a value of Rs 4 crore or more in a single project or single work respectively and the same should be in successful operation for at least one year.

As far as financial criteria is concerned, the average annual turnover of a bidder, should not be less than Rs 8.5 crore or in equivalent foreign currency during the preceding three financial years, says NTPC tender.

The NTPC document mentions that the Net Worth of a bidder as on the last day of the preceding financial year should not be less than 100% of the bidder’s paid-up share capital.

Last month, NTPC Renewable Energy issued a mega tender for Balance of System (BoS) package for the development of solar energy projects of 1-GW across India except Rajasthan. NTPC has also issued a BoS tender of ISTS-connected wind power projects in Gujarat worth 1 GW capacity last week.
