NTPC Calls Bidders to Develop 110 MW Wind Power Project at Gujarat NTPC REL Issues Tender for Substation Pkg for 630 MW Solar Park

NTPC Renewable Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC, has issued a tender seeking bidders towards the development of a 110 MW ISTS connected wind energy project at Khavda NTPC Renewable Energy Park, Gujarat.

The last day to submit bids is September 7, 2023. Bid opens on September 7, 2023.

Scope of Work

The scope of work entails design, engineering, micro-siting, manufacture, supply, erection, installation, testing and commissioning of RLMM-listed (Revised List of Models & Manufacturers) WTGs (Wind Turbine Generators), who must have a rating of 2.7 MW or more.

The selected developer will also look into the operation & maintenance of the project for a period of ten years.

The EMD is INR 100 million.

Qualifications

To qualify for bidding, the bidder must have an average annual turnover of minimum INR 2.7 billion for any three out of the preceding five financial years as of the date of the techno-commercial bid opening.

A bidder must have positive net worth as on the last day of the preceding financial year.

Earlier, The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Limited issued a tender seeking prospective renewable energy developers. As per the mandate of the tender document, the Indian power behemoth has sought bids from players who could develop solar-wind hybrid projects anywhere in the country.

This comes after the power behemoth has been given a target of issuing tenders for adding 15 GW of new renewable energy capacity in FY24 by the Union government in their central bidding trajectory. NTPC Limited said its total power capacity crossed 73 GW earlier this month. The Indian PSU aims to achieve 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by the end of 2032.
