Green Stocks Nov 19: Strong Show, Some Gains Surrendered By Closing

On a volatile day for the market where it looked like a strong recovery was underway after 7 sessions of losses, our Green pack led the charge with most stocks outperforming market gains. Only to be tripped up by profit booking towards the close when most gave up some, or all of their gains. Shakti Pumps, whose record date for bonus shares is November 25, was the only one to hold out, finishing with gains of almost 4% after being locked at the 5% upper circuit for most of the day. Waaree RTL, the EPC stock, continued to languish however, struggling to break through beyond the Rs 1500 mark decisively. Somewhat underwhelming results by parent nd India's largest module maker, Waaree Energies tripped up it's resurgence , with the stock correcting almost 7%.

Acme Solar, the other recent listed developer continued its recovery of sorts after a torrid listing, gaining another 4.3% today. Wind major Suzlon enjoyed a good day however, rising 5% to Rs 62.22, even as competitor Inox Green also reversed the fall from yesterday to stay in the green. The big gainer of the day was Gensol however, with the diversified solar EPC player jumping almost 10% today. All in all, our green pack remains poised for a decisive move that will probably beat the market on the upside, and from all indications, do better in case of a correction as well.
