Norwegian Certification Body DNV Reviews GoodWe Favourably

DNV (Det Norske Veritas), a Norwegian independent testing and technical advisory provider, has issued a review report of GoodWe for its MT and HT series inverter technology and reliability, viewing the company as a well-established manufacturer of power conversion products with a successful history in design and manufacturing.

The report was issued after a comprehensive review and evaluation process of facts and statistics as well as reliable insights concerning technical and performance methodology, stated GoodWe.

The shipment of GoodWe MT and HT Series reached 2.26GW in 2020 and is estimated to achieve 2.47 GW in 2021. “The product design, testing, and manufacturing processes are clearly adequate to support good product reliability. The MT series inverters meet solar industry expectations for reliability, while both the MT and HT inverters will benefit from more field experience,” the report said.

GoodWe MT and HT 1100Vdc Series are optimal for commercial and industrial sectors, says the company. These high-power string inverters are said to have advanced topology and innovative control technology. Elaborate design and features are claimed to have contributed to higher energy densities and lower installation costs, maximizing long-term returns and profitability for the system owner.

Robust system reliability provides customers with low maintenance costs and increased returns over the life of the solar system asset, and it is critical that the inverters possess efficiency, reliability, safety and maintainability. The HT 1500Vdc series offers up to 12 MPPTs and is compatible with bifacial modules with a higher DC threshold of up to 20A per string, GoodWe said.
