State-owned Navratna PSU NLC India Limited (NLCIL) has commissioned the third and final phase of its 300 MW solar project at Barsingsar in Rajasthan’s Bikaner district, completing a key renewable energy development for the company.
In a regulatory disclosure filed with the National Stock Exchange and BSE Limited under Regulations 30 and 51 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, NLCIL stated that the final phase of the project, with a capacity of 141.17 MW, has been declared commercially operational with effect from January 24, 2026.
The Part Commissioning Certificate for this phase was issued by the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL) on the same date.
Earlier Phases
The Barsingsar solar project was implemented in three phases, with the first two phases commissioned earlier in 2025. The first phase, with a capacity of 52.83 MW, became operational on August 26, 2025. This was followed by the second phase of 106 MW, which commenced commercial operations on November 2, 2025.
With the commissioning of the third phase, the entire 300 MW solar project is now fully operational.
Renewable Capacity Increases to 1,766 MW
Following the completion of the Barsingsar project, NLC India Limited’s total installed renewable energy capacity has risen to 1,766 MW. The company’s overall installed power generation capacity now stands at 7,726 MW.
