National Hydroelectric Power Corporation has issued a tender for the Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) Contract for the development of 300 MW capacity floating solar power project and associated 220 KV transmission line for connectivity at 400 KV grid substation alongwith comprehensive operation and maintenance for 05 years at Rengali Reservoir at Angul district in the state of Odisha.

Online bids are invited through domestic competitive bidding in single stage-two part bidding basis (i.e. Part-I:QR+technical-bid and part-II:financial bid) with e-reverse auction (e-RA) by NHPC Limited for and on behalf of Joint Venture ( to be formed between NHPC Ltd. & GEDCOL) herein after referred to as employer/owner from eligible bidders.

The document fee is Rs. 40,000/- (Rupees Forty thousand only) in the form of demand draft from a nationalized / scheduled bank in favour of NHPC Ltd. payable at Faridabad. Rs. 10,00,00,000/-(Rupees Ten Crores only) in the form of DD/BG as per clause No. 14 of ITB. The bid validity is 120 days from the last date of submission of online bids.

Technical Qualifying Criteria 
The bidder should have designed, supplied, erected and commissioned Solar Photo Voltaic (SPV) based grid connected power plant(s) of cumulative installed capacity of 40 MW or higher, out of which at least one plant should have been of 10 MW or more.

Or
The bidder should be a developer of Solar Photo Voltaic (SPV) based grid connected power plant(s) of cumulative installed capacity of 40 MW or higher, out of which at least one plant should have been of 10 MW or more.

Or
The bidder should have executed in the last ten (10) years either as developer or as EPC contractor in process industry or in infrastructure development of single work having minimum value of Rs. 150 Crores.

The MNRE (Ministry of New and Renewable Energy) recently published a full calendar for the financial year FY23-24, outlining the bidding targets for the four key central implementing agencies. These include SECI, NTPC, NHPC and SJVN. NTPC and NHPC will have 10 GW each as capacities for bids.
