NHDC to Empanel Solar PV Module Manufacturers for its Solar Projects

NHDC has issued a tender for the empanelment of solar PV module manufacturers for the development of solar power projects by NHDC.

NHDC Limited, a JV company between NHPC Ltd. and the Government of Himachal Pradesh, has issued a tender for the empanelment of experienced and capable solar PV module manufacturers for the development of solar power projects by NHDC.

The firm is responsible for planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of hydroelectric power projects and has now diversified into solar power projects. For which it intends to implement this global tender for the empanelment of experienced and capable PV modules manufacturers for the development of solar power projects through Global Competitive Bidding.

To be eligible the bidders should fully meet the following criteria:

  • The applicant shall be the original PV module manufacturer with a module manufacturing capacity of a minimum of 1000 MW / annum.
  • The applicant should have manufactured and supplied the solar PV modules of cumulative installed capacity of 130 MWp or above using any rating of modules and any source of indigenous or imported PV cells in any one financial year to solar plants during last 7 years ending last day of month previous to the date of submission of application.
  • The applicant should have manufactured and supplied solar PV module built up using indigenous and/ or imported PV cells of power rating 285 Wp or above to solar plants, which should have completed at least 1 year of successful operation as on due date of opening of the application.

The last date for bid submission is June 22, 2020, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on June 23, 2020. There is no Earnest Money Deposit associated with the tender.

The selected manufacturers will be empaneled for a period of two years initially and will be called upon by NHDC for the supply of solar PV modules for its upcoming solar power projects.

In July 2019, the firm had issued a tender for the design, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of 25 MW floating solar power projects at the Omkareshwar reservoir in Madhya Pradesh. The scope of work included the design, supply and EPC services for the floating solar projects that are being developed as two projects of 13 MW and 12 MW capacity. The selected bidders will also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance of the planets for a period of five years from the date of successful commissioning.
