Nexwell Acquires 248 MWp Solar Assets from Q Energy By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Fri, Jun 20th, 2025 Highlights : Four of the seven projects acquired by Nexwell are under construction Three are in advance development phase Nexwell Power, a Renewable energy investment platform, has acquired a 248 MWp solar portfolio from Q Energy, a spanish energy service provider and an affiliate of Berlin- based Hanwha Group. The portfolio includes a total of seven solar plants across Andalusia and Aragon, the regions in Spain. Out of these seven, four are under construction and expected to come live by early 2026. These are 72 MWp Andújar projects located in Andújar (Jaén), the 26 MWp Silverio plant in Guadalcázar (Córdoba), and the 45 MWp Mudéjar project located near Samper de Calanda and Híjar (Teruel). Other three projects hail from Zaragoza and are in an advanced development phase. These three projects – Peñaflor 1, Peñaflor 2, and Peñaflor 3 – will together add 105 MWp to the portfolio. Producing a total of 500 GWh of clean energy annually, the seven solar PV projects are potent to produce enough electricity to power 142,000 households. In March this year, Nextwell signed long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with a subsidiary of one of the largest tech companies in the US with data centers worldwide to source the supply of approximately 2,921 GWh of renewable electricity and green certificates through 2040.
