Queensland Launches $3.3 Billion Transmission Project To Enhance Renewables

Work on the ‘CopperString 2.0 transmission line’ that will connect the North West Minerals Province to the National Electricity Market (NEM) and help unlock 6GW of renewable energy capacity has started. The project, to be funded using coal royalties besides other sources, is expected to be completed by 2029.
