Need To Realize The Potential Of Solar Energy For Clean Future: Bojjala

Environment and Forests Minister, Bojjala Gopalakrishna at ‘Solar Biz’, a seminar organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and AP-TDC on Friday emphasized on the need for realizing the full potential of solar energy to give clean environment to the next generation and avoid huge expenditure on fossil fuels.

Speaking to The Hindu Reddy said Andhra Pradesh became a leader in the power sector due to the untiring efforts of Energy Department under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

Early this year in September Adani Group inaugurated world’s largest 648 MW solar power plant Sengapadai in Kamudhi taluk in Ramanathapuram district. Adani Green Energy, part of the Adani Group, connected the 648-mw solar power plant with Kamuthi 400 kv sub-station of Tantransco in Tamil Nadu.

According to the publication world’s largest solar energy parks being set up in Anantapur and Kurnool districts were a great leap forward for the State.
