MSEDCL Issues Tender for Procurement of 550 MW Solar Power

MSEDCL invited for procurement of 550 MW solar power

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Maharashtra State Electricity Board, has issued a tender for the procurement of 550 MW solar power. The selection will be through a competitive bidding process (which will be followed by e-reverse auction) from projects to be connected at distribution network in Maharashtra under Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana.

The last date for submission is 10.02.2023 at 16.00 Hrs.  The opening date for bids is 10.02.2023.

Under the scheme mentioned, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited looks at “providing daytime power supply to the farmers through the development of solar panels in their land.” In case the applicant is a developer, then he/she has to participate in the tender floated by Renewal Energy Department of MSEDCL to open tender.

Recently, the MSEDCL had invited bids for the procurement of 350 MW (AC) solar power from projects that are to be set up in Maharashtra.
