MNRE invites Feedback/Views/Comments before adopting the recommendations of the CSP Expert Group for promotion of Solar Thermal (ST) / Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) Technology in India

Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), formed a “CSP  Expert Group” with members from within the Ministry, and other Experts from outside to give recommendations to the ministry to enable appropriate policy formulation for supporting the development and deployment of Concentrating solar power (CSP) technology in the country.

MNRE is inviting Feedback/Views/Comments before adopting the recommendations of the CSP Expert Group regarding the guiding principles for promotion of Solar Thermal (ST) / Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) Technology in India, and suggesting the same to various stakeholders of CSP technology including various State Governments.

First meeting of the CSP Expert Group was held in MNRE on 08.04.2016. The CSP Expert Group deliberated upon the issues concerning the development of Solar Thermal (ST) / Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) technology and recommended few guiding principles for promotion of Solar Thermal (ST) / CSP Technology in the country.

Feedback/Views/Comments on the recommendations of the CSP Expert Group for promotion of CSP technology in India can be sent by 19th May, 2016.
