MES Issues Tender For 500 kW Solar Plant in Jamnagar

MES 500 kW Solar in Jamnagar

The Military Engineer Services has issued a tender, seeking bids from eligible parties to develop 500 kW solar PV power plant at the MIL station in Jamnagar.

The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the design,  supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the solar power plant. The developers will have a period of 180 days from the date of award of the contract to complete the work on the project. The project developers will also be required to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the plant at the military station for a period of 66 months, which will be divided into 6 parts of 11 months each.

The last date for submission of bids is June 20, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on June 26, 2019. The estimated cost of the tendered project is Rs 4.68 lakhs and all bidders will have to submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 5.43 lakhs along with their bids. However, MES enlisted contractors will be exempted from submission of the EMD.

To be eligible, the bidder should have experience of having successfully completed solar power plants by channel partner in a government department/semi-govt /PSU but not private sector during last seven years in one of the following:

One work of 400 KW capacity solar power plant OR

Two work of 250 KW capacity solar power plant OR

Three work of 200 KW capacity solar power plant.

Additionally, to prove financial eligibility for executing the project. The bidders must submit proof of having successfully executing one work costing not less than Rs 6 crore OR two works costing not less than Rs 4 crore. The average annual turnover for the two consecutive financial years is not less than Rs 6 crore.

Recently, the Northern Railways has issued a tender, inviting bids from eligible bidders for development of rooftop solar installations across multiple D and E category railway stations in its jurisdiction, totalling 4.715 MW.
