Lapp India bags ISO 14001:2004 certification from TUV Rheinland

Lapp IndiaLapp India, supplier of integrated solutions and branded products in the field of cable and connection technology has bagged ISO 14001:2004 certification from TUV Rheinland.

The certification received by the company is a globally recognized standard for environmental management of businesses. It helps the organization minimize their impact on the environment, comply with applicable laws and regulations and work towards continual environmental improvement.

Lapp India bagged the ISO 14001:2004 certification for successfully implementing and incorporating international standards of Environment Management System (EMS) initiative.

The company in a statement said that it will invest in further measures in providing a healthy social and occupational environment for its employees, customers, vendors and the society at large.

“This Certification is a milestone achievement for Lapp India and reflects Company’s long-term commitment in achieving our environmental responsibilities. Conformance to International Standards will instill confidence in our customers, of our products’ safety, reliability and quality. Attaining standards such as ISO 14001 will enable us to formalize energy management within our own operations”, said Marc Jarrault, MD, LAPP India.

As part of its commitment towards sustainable green environment, Lapp India manufactures environmentally-friendly products such as HFFR single core (UNIPLUS HFFR and INFRA HFFR), HFFR multi core flexible cables and Fire Survival Cables. A performance program is in place that minimizes scrap of copper and compound during manufacturing. The firm also focuses on efficient waste segregation at source and disposal, including STP (sewage treatment plan), it is actively contributing to renewable energy by committing to install 1/3 of solar capacity and supplying extensively to wind mills.
