KUSUM Comp C: SJVN Green Floats 951 MW Solar EPC Tender In Maharashtra

SJVN Green Energy Ltd, a subsidiary of SJVN, has invited bids for an EPC contract to develop 951 MW of solar projects under the Mukhymantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 (MSKVY 2.0) in Maharashtra. The tender falls under Component C of the central government’s PM-KUSUM scheme and includes comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) for a period of three years. The deadline for bid submissions is July 22, 2025.

In the tender document, SJVN Green said it had secured a 1,352 MW Solar power project through the bidding system to procure solar power under Mukhya Mantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 Scheme to implement feeder-level solarisation under Component C of the PM-KUSUM Scheme. The 951 MW capacity now tendered for EPC execution covers 74 solar projects and forms a part of this allotment.

Scope Of Work

Through SJVN Green’s latest tender for Maharashtra, it aims to group these 74 projects into eight packages (as per Annexure 1 of the NIT). The EPC contractor will be responsible for land acquisition for all projects except for two specified in Group 4, for which SJVN Green has already signed land lease agreements.

Each bidder must quote for at least one group in full, with the maximum allocation to a single bidder being the entire 951 MW.

SGEL’s latest tender offers to develop a 154 MW project across nine locations in Pune, a 304 MW project across 22 locations in Nashik, a 315 MW project across 19 locations in Ahmednagar, and a 579 MW solar project across 52 locations in Solapur.

Eligibility Criteria

SJVN Green has sought bids from developers for setting up Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) based grid-connected power plant(s) of 30 MWp or higher capacity, out of which at least one plant must be of 10 MWp or higher capacity. These developers must have prior experience in 10 MWp or higher capacity system that has been successfully operational for at least three (3) months before the last day of the months prior to the month in which the Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) is issued. Additionally, the bidder must also have an annual average turnover of Rs. 1.68 crore/MW for the last three Financial Years, ending on (31st March of the last Financial Year)
