Gujarat-based KPI Green Energy has completed its 92.4 MW wind power project for Ayana Renewable Power Four at Nakhatrana, Bhuj, Gujarat. In a press release, KPI Green said the project comprises 28 wind turbine generators (WTGs). The KPI–Ayana project forms part of the broader renewable energy expansion by ONGC NTPC Green, which is actively commissioning both solar and wind capacity in Gujarat.
KPI Green said it has completed all works under its scope, including the Balance of Plant (BOP), Power Substation (PSS), EHV transmission line, and the erection and installation of the WTGs. The project has also received the requisite approval from the Central Electricity Authority (CEA).
In October 2025, NTPC Green Energy commissioned a partial wind capacity of 9.9 MW out of the project’s total installed wind capacity of 92.4 MW at Bhuj, Gujarat. The project is owned by Ayana Renewable Power Four Private Limited, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd., which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the joint venture ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited.
It also indicates that the Bhuj wind project is owned by Ayana Renewable Power Four, part of NTPC Green’s renewable portfolio, while KPI Green Energy acted as the EPC contractor responsible for construction and turbine installation.
About the Project
Earlier, in 2023, KPI Green Energy Limited, an independent power producer (IPP), secured a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Ayana Renewable Power Four Private Limited, Bengaluru, for a 145.20 MW wind-solar hybrid power project. The project comprises 145.20 MW of wind capacity and 50 MW of solar capacity and is scheduled for completion in FY 2024–25.
The project will be located in Gujarat and falls under KPI Green’s Captive Power Producer (CPP) business segment. Under the contract, the company will provide end-to-end Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) services.
This scope includes land acquisition, design, manufacturing, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of the balance of plant, along with power evacuation infrastructure, and securing all required approvals and permits for the project.
