KPI Green Energy Commissions 7.80 MW Hybrid Renewable Energy Project

Independent Power Producer KPI Green Energy has announced that it has commissioned a hybrid power project at Surat. The firm has successfully commissioned a 7.80 MW wind-solar hybrid power project. Of this, the wind capacity is at 4.2 MW while the rest 3.60 MWdc is for solar provided by its wholly owned subsidiary, KPIG Energia Private Limited.

The said project has been executed by the firm for Mono Steel India Limited in Surat under the ‘Captive Power Producer (CPP)’ division of the company, in compliance with the Gujarat Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Policy 2018.

KPI Green Energy has been on a major order-winning spree. Earlier, it bagged domestic solar power projects with an aggregate capacity of 9.70 MW. Of this capacity, 4.70 MW capacity is to be be executed by KPI Green Energy Limited and 5 MW capacity by Sun Drops Energia Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the firm, under ‘Captive Power Producer (CPP)’ Segment. Recently, it also received commissioning certificates from Gujarat Energy Development Agency (‘GEDA’) for its 4.10 MW wind-solar hybrid power project. This entails a 2.10 MW wind and 2 MWdc solar project. The project is established at Samoj site in Jambusar, Dist. Bharuch, Gujarat, under the Gujarat Wind-Solar Hybrid Power policy 2018.

KPI Energy has set the target of achieving 1000 MW by 2025.
