KP Energy Secures 40.8 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Project from Enerparc in Gujarat

Gujarat-based KP Energy Limited has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from Enerparc Energy Private Limited to develop a 40.8 MW wind-solar hybrid power project. As stated in a regulatory filing, KP Energy secured approximately 20.2 MW of wind capacity and 20.6 MWp of solar capacity in Gujarat.

KP Energy secured this project on a complete turnkey basis, encompassing the supply, installation, and commissioning of the project; the development of evacuation infrastructure; the facilitation of grid connectivity; and the obtaining of requisite statutory and regulatory approvals. The said award further strengthens the company’s position as an integrated renewable energy solutions provider and enhances its execution pipeline in the wind-solar hybrid segment.

The latest project aligns with KP Energy’s previously stated target to add 100 MW of IPP capacity by 2027–28, as shared by the company’s Chief Financial Officer, Shabana Bajari. It also contributes to the company’s 48.5 MW hybrid capacity already completed and supports its goal of achieving the remaining 51.5 MW, which it expects to complete well ahead of the stated timeline.

KP Group’s Previous Hybrid Projects

Last year, KP Group agreed to jointly develop up to 2 GW of wind and wind-solar hybrid projects with Senvion India. Through a framework, the parties agreed to develop projects across multiple Indian states. The company plans to develop these projects over the coming years.

KP Group entered into this agreement through its group entities - KPI Green Energy Limited, KP Energy Limited, and KP Green Engineering Limited - which signed a framework agreement with Senvion India, a wind turbine manufacturer, and Global Renewable Energy Development Holding Company Limited (GREDHCL), Dubai, an investment arm of the Alfanar Group.

KP Group’s recent hybrid project expansion comes as India’s renewable energy sector enters a more mature phase. Larger turbine platforms, hybrid and round-the-clock (RTC) models, and compressed execution timelines are now becoming standard.
