Senvion India, owned by Dubai-based Global Renewable Energy Development Holding Company Limited (GREDHCL), an investment arm of the Alfanar Group, has signed a framework agreement with the KP Group — represented by KPI Green Energy Ltd, KP Energy Ltd and KP Green Engineering Ltd — to jointly develop up to 2,000 MW of wind and wind–solar hybrid projects across several Indian states over the next three years.

The partnership aims to offer a customer-focused, turnkey-style solution covering project development, turbine supply, erection and commissioning. The companies said the integrated approach is intended to speed up execution, minimise hand-offs and ensure clearer accountability.

Through this agreement, KP Group will lead site identification and development, including land acquisition, permits and approvals, and the full Balance of Plant (BoP) scope, covering civil works, internal roads, foundations, electrical systems up to interconnection, and grid evacuation approvals. Both partners will continue to operate independently within their defined roles under this collaboration.

Jamal Wadi, Chairman, Senvion, said, "This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to India’s renewable energy ambitions. By leveraging complementary strengths, we aim to deliver projects that combine technical excellence with sustainable impact. Partnerships like these are essential to building a resilient clean energy ecosystem, and we look forward to working closely with KPI Energy to create long-term value for all stakeholders."

Previous Collaboration

These companies have collaborated earlier this year, where KP Energy has placed an order to procure 20 units of Senvion India’s 4.2 MW M160 wind turbine generators, as a part of the 4XM platform.

These turbines will be installed as part of a hybrid power project being set up for the company's customer in Bharuch district, Gujarat. The deliveries for this project are expected in the fourth quarter of FY 2025–26. This project marks one of the early commercial installations of the 4.2M160 model of Senvion’s wind turbine, which is optimized for low wind conditions and tailored for varied Indian terrains.
