Khavda: Bondada Gets LOI From Adani Group For 650 MW Solar Project
Hyderabad-based Bondada Engineering has secured a 650 MW supply order for a solar power project at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat.
In a regulatory filing, Bondada Engineering said the scope of work for the project includes the supply of goods for the Balance of System (BOS) and installation services for the 650 MW solar project. The company will handle the complete design, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality assurance, packaging, and delivery of materials to the site. It will also provide on-site services such as receipt, unloading, storage, handling, installation, testing, and commissioning of free-issue materials, along with associated civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural works required for project completion.
This latest order adds to the company’s growing portfolio, which stood at ₹5,044 crore as of April 1, 2025, and is expected to expand significantly in the current fiscal year and beyond.
Previously, the company has commissioned 78.3 MW solar projects for NLC, Paradigm IT, and Mahagenco across various clusters. These projects are located in Neyveli (Tamil Nadu), Amaravati, Hingoli, Dhule, and Pathardi (Maharashtra).
Before that, the company had received a Government Order (GO) from the Andhra Pradesh Energy Department for the allocation of 2,000 MW AC / 2,600 MWp DC solar power. These projects are located at various locations across the Ananthapuramu and Sri Sathya Sai districts.
Scope of Work
The company will deliver BOS goods for the 650 MW solar project at Khavda, covering end-to-end EPC activities such as design, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality assurance, packing, and delivery of materials to the site.
The scope further includes Factory Acceptance Tests, rectification and remedial works, and the provision of tools and equipment to ensure reliable performance. Additionally, onsite activities will involve installation, testing, and commissioning of materials, along with all supporting civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural works.
The contract is expected to be completed within one year of receiving the Letter of Intent (LOI) and is valued at ₹1,050 crore (exclusive of taxes). This LOI underscores Bondada Engineering’s growing role in India’s renewable energy infrastructure sector, strengthening its order book and execution pipeline.
The company said it is proud to be part of this landmark project and remains committed to advancing India’s clean energy mission.
