Juniper Green Commissions Solar Project 1.5 Yrs Before SCOD Juniper Green Energy has announced the early commissioning of the 59 MWp/42 MW solar component of its 75 MW hybrid power project in Karanja (Ghadge), Wardha district, Maharashtra. The plant was brought online on June 6—17 months ahead of the scheduled commercial operation date. The project, known as Juniper Green Power Five, has a power purchase agreement (PPA) for 75 MW with the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), signed on November 18, 2024. The hybrid facility will also include 26.4 MW of wind capacity, with the full project scheduled for completion by November 17, 2026. The early commissioning of the solar component of its hybrid project will entitle the firm to claim a 100% ISTS waiver for transmission charges. Second Such Early Commissioned Project This marks Juniper’s second ahead-of-schedule commissioning in recent months.
