Juniper Commissions 145.99 MWp Maharashtra Solar Project

Juniper Green Energy today announced the early commissioning of 145.99 MWp / 100 MW of its solar power project in Chapalgaon, Maharashtra, which will supply power to its state discom-MSEDCL. The plant was commissioned on May 22, 2025, 19 months ahead of the Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD), and within 2.5 months of PPA signing on March 7, 2025. The project will operate at a full capacity of 145.99 MWp from its commissioning.

Juniper Green Energy’s proactive approach enables them to deliver quality projects before deadlines, supporting India’s grid reliability and renewable energy goals. Interestingly, the commissioning of the project before June 30 of this year will allow the firm to avail the benefit of the waiver of the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS), crucial for cutting down on their operational costs for the project.
