JinkoSolar to Supply 522 MW of Modules for Brazil’s Solar Project

JinkoSolar to Supply 522 MW of Modules for Brazil’s Solar Project

JinkoSolar Holding Co. Ltd., among the largest and most innovative solar module manufacturers in the world, has revealed that its principal operating subsidiary, Jinko Solar Co., Ltd. (“Jiangxi Jinko”) will supply nearly 522 MW of Tiger Neo 78 cell modules for Phase l of the Santa Luzia Complex Project (the “Project”) in Paraíba State, Brazil.

The said Project entails three Phases. The first Phase of the project is presently being constructed. Once the project reaches completion, it will generate a total capacity of 1.2 GW. The shipment of the first batches of the modules took place in November 2022 while its first phase is expected to reach completion in May next year. The COD of the last UFV of phase l is expected to be January 2024.

Located in an area of over 1,700 hectares in the cities of Santa Luzia and São Mamede, the total investment made in the project is around BRL 4.1 billion. It is said that the upcoming Project will create 750 employment oppirtunities.

JinkoSolar has been notably expanding its reach in Brazil. The firm is an agreement with Brazilian inverter firm Aldo Solar for the shipment of 4 million Tiger Pro solar modules with 2 GW installed capacity.

It was in March last year that JinkoSolar introduced its new series of Tiger Pro modules.

China-based JinkoSolar has established its presence in various countries other than Brazil and distributes its solar products and sells its solutions and services to a diversified international utility, commercial and residential customer base in China, the United States, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, Chile, South Africa, India, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates, Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, Greece and other countries and regions. It boasts of 14 productions facilities globally, 21 overseas subsidiaries in Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, India, Turkey, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Australia, Canada, Malaysia, UAE, and Denmark.
