Jammu Gets 1.5 MW Solar Power Plant From Vibgyor Energy

Solar Developer Vibgyor Energy which is focused on the C&I segment where it targets institutional, industrial, and commercial sectors has just completed installation of a plant in Jammu.    

The 1.5 MW solar power plant by Vibgyor Energy has been installed at Jammu’s SIDCO industrial complex. Waaree Energies provided the project with high-performing 445 Wp Mono PERC solar panels. The project was funded on a non-recourse basis by Kotak Mahindra Bank.

According to Viraj Gadhoke of Vibgyor Energy, “Jammu is a developing and significant market for the company. This is only the first of many projects in the area that we will supply. We think that by implementing this initiative, other energy-intensive state sectors will be motivated to join the sustainable energy movement and switch to clean energy for their operations and services. In its continued efforts to develop green and renewable energy sources across India, Vibgyor Energy is taking another step with this initiative.”

Recently, The Administrative Council (AC) headed by LG Manoj Sinha, had approved the development of 200 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar power plants in Jammu City. These plants hoped to take optimal advantage of the solar irradiance in the high-resource region of Jammu and Kashmir. They came up as part of the ‘Solar City Mission’ in the Jammu region under the Central Government’s Grid-connected Rooftop Solar Scheme, Phase-II meant for the residential sector.

Recently, Vibgyor Energy commissioned a 4 MW rooftop solar project in Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, Waaree Energies supplied 330wp & 335wp Solar modules for a 2.47 MW project Developed by Sunil Gadhoke-led Vibgyor Energy, of Sunbeam Real Ventures last year.
