Jakson Signs Up For BOS package for 245 MW Nokh Solar Park of NTPC

Jakson, one of the oldest and leading energy solution providers has entered into contract agreement with NTPC Limited for execution of “Balance of System (BOS) package for development of 245MW for Block/Plot No.-3 of Nokh Solar Power Project (735MW)” within 18 Months. The Jakson group is a well diiversified energy services and products firm.

NTPC will issue the modules as Free issue material in the project for which tender is expected to be floated by NTPC in April 2022. As part of the Contract, Jakson will further do Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of complete Solar Power Plant for a period of Three (03) Years and Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) of key equipment for a period of Ten (10) Years from the date of successful completion of commissioning of the project.

The scope of work of the tender includes the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing, transporting, unloading, storage, installation, testing, and commissioning of solar projects. Jakson will be responsible for designing and constructing module mounting structures with tracker technology for SPV panels, fixing of PV Modules on Tracker and PV Modules interconnection.

For the well diversified Rs 2,600 crore Jakson group, the win is key achievement for its solar division, which provides multiple services  besides EPC and O&M. The solar O&M market is fast evolving to become a major opportunity in India, thanks to both the growth in overall market size, as well as the high share of psu energy majors, who usually outsource maintainance, unlike the larger private sector players who continue to do it in-house for now.
