IPGCL Issues List of Empanelled Vendors For Capex-B Model

A total of 14 vendors have been allocated solar capacities worth a total of 4 MW under the capex-B model.

The state-owned utility firm, Indraprastha Power Generation Co. Ltd (IPGCL), has issued the list of empanelled vendors under the capex-B category (10 kW TO 100 kW) of its 35 MW solar rooftop tender under the Mukhyamantri Solar Power Yojana.

The Request for Selection (RfS) for selection of bidders for empanelment of vendors for the design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning including warranty, comprehensive O&M of grid-interactive rooftop solar PV power plant under 8 categories (CAPEX-A to E and RESCO-A to C) was issued by IPGCL in November 2018.

The estimated cost of the project for the capex categories is Rs 56.1 crore and the cost expected for the deployment of the capex B models was estimated at Rs 22 crore.

A total of 14 vendors have been allocated solar capacities worth a total of 4 MW under the capex-B model, after L2, L3, L4.. bidders matched the lowest (L1) bid made by Solar Smith Energy Pvt. Ltd. of Rs 49,900/kW.

According to the notification the winners and the awarded capacities are;

Solar Smith Energy – 500 kW; Synergy Wave System – 500 kW; XPANZ Energy Solutions – 400 kW; Recube Energy – 200 kW; Claro Energy – 100 kW; Waaree Energies – 200 kW; Shimato Enterprises – 500 kW; Allen Energy – 500 kW; Sriram Cables – 300 kW; Uneecops Solar – 300 kW; Asun Solar Power – 200 kW; Rayenergy Solar – 100 kW; Nav Solar Power – 100 kW; Blue Chip Energy – 100 kW.

The estimated cost of the project for the capex categories is Rs 56.1 crore and the cost expected for the deployment of the capex B models was estimated at Rs 22 crore. The subsidy amount for the category is Rs 14,970 per kW.

Gurgaon-based clean energy startup, Zunroof has won 250 kW capacity as the L1 bidders in the tender under the Capex A and D categories. The 250 kW capacity that was awarded in the, capex-A model for 1-10 kW rooftop solar plants for which the company won 50 kW capacity with the L1 bid of Rs 42,000 per kW, and the capex-D model for 1-10 kW solar power plants with elevated structures for which the company won 200 kW capacity with the L1 bid of Rs 44,100/kW (Rs 42,000/kW + 3 x Rs 700/meter).
