Insolation Green Energy, a subsidiary of Insolation Energy, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bondada Engineering to supply solar modules under ALMM-1 and ALMM-II (Make in India Solar Cell and Solar Module).
Insolation Energy said in a regulatory filing that it would supply solar modules and cells to Bondada Engineering for its upcoming solar projects. The company explained that it would supply the said modules and cells under ALMM-1 and ALMM-II (Make in India Solar Cell and Solar Module) for the calendar years from January 2027 to December 2028. Expect a lot more similar announcements from other players, as the ALMM2 or ALCM deadline for using domestically made cells from June this year nears .
Aligning with Insolation Energy’s Module Capacity Addition
Insolation Energy made the latest announcement as its subsidiary, Insolation Green Energy, operationalizes its new 3 GW PV module manufacturing lines in Sawarda, Jaipur, with plans to commission the remaining 1.5 GW by January 2026.
Insolation Energy is rapidly ramping up its solar cell production and envisions adding about 4.5 GW of solar cell manufacturing capacity, along with an 18,000-MT aluminium frame manufacturing plant at Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh. The company said civil and PEB construction work is underway at full pace at its 4.5 GW TOPCon G12R solar cell manufacturing facility. The company has previously announced that its 18,000 MT aluminium frame manufacturing plant is progressing, with Civil and PEB construction, and is also laying the foundations for the main plant. The timelines seem to indicate high hopes of a frictionless path to commissioning, something that many players have found to execute, especially in cell manufacturing.
