India’s iCreate, Israel’s Start-Up Nation Central Partner for Green Tech

iCreate (International Centre for Entrepreneurship and Technology), an Indian startup incubator and Start-Up Nation Central, a not-for-profit organisation that connects multinational corporations, governments, investors, and NGOs to the Israeli innovation ecosystem, are collaborating to promote the adoption of green technologies.

This partnership will also set the stage for the 2nd cohort of the India-Israel Innovation Accelerator (i3A) programme that is designed to develop solutions in this domain, said an official release.

The collaboration was announced at an event attended by Mr. Avi Hasson, CEO of Start-Up Nation Central; Mr. Anupam Jalote, CEO of iCreate; H.E. Naor Gilon, Ambassador of Israel to India; Mr. Kiran Deshmukh, CTO of Sona Comstar; and Mr. Nehemya Zamosh, Co-CEO of Enzymocore.

The speakers shared various collaboration efforts towards creating a strategic roadmap by tapping into the immense potential of the Indian market (targeting 275 GW of installed energy capacity by FY 2027) through the optimal implementation of technology and mutually supporting each other’s efforts in solving their energy demands.

Avi Hasson, CEO, Start-Up Nation Central, said, “The first India Israel Innovation Accelerator proved to be extremely successful with four of the five participating Israeli innovators in advanced stages of signing commercial agreements with their Indian partners. As a result of this positive outcome, we are now launching a second cohort focused on green energy that addresses the growing concern over climate change and the race to reduce carbon emissions.”

“We believe India is an important and underexamined market for Israeli innovators and that Start-Up Nation Central is the ideal partner to help them access it based on our excellent relationships with our Indian counterparts and experience creating unique programs that lead to successful business partnerships,” added Hasson.
