Indian Oil Releases Tender to Buy Land in Odisha for 10MW Solar Project

To build a 10 MW solar project in Odisha, Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) has released a tender for the sale of 50 acres of land.

The last date for submitting the online bid is September 26, 2022, and the bids will be opened on September 27, 2022. Each interested bidder will have to pay Rs. 50,000/- as an earnest money deposit.

The given land must be at least 50 acres in size and ideally, be continuous. The site must be situated 10 kilometers away from a substation owned by the Odisha Power Transmission Corporation (OPTCL). It ought to be connected to an approach road, and the property ought to be unencumbered.

Government land will be given preference if it is deemed fit. A consultant working for IOCL should cross-verify that the land’s undulation should not exceed two meters about the nearby road. Potable water arrangements and easy access to electricity should be provided. The land shouldn’t be a wetland or lower than the mean sea level. The land shouldn’t be situated near a lot of people.

From the land to the closest OPTCL substation, the expert will survey the transmission line’s right of way (RoW). The expert will carry out a land survey to determine the distance between the land and the nearby road as well as the amount of dirt needed for filling and leveling the land. Landed costs will include the land’s offered price, transmission fees up to the nearest OPTCL grid for electricity evacuation, right-of-way fees, and landfilling fees. Based on the landed cost, the L1 bidder will be determined.
