HPCL Tender Seeks Developer for 78 MW Renewable Energy HPCL Issues Tender for Supply of 78 MW Renewable Energy

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited has issued a tender for the supply of 78 MW of renewable energy under long-term open access from projects located anywhere in India. The developer selected in the HPCL tender will be responsible for supplying power to HPCL’s refinery in Mumbai.

The last day for the submission of bids for the HPCL tender is November 29, 2023. Bids open on the same day, that is, November 29, 2023.

The scope of work for the HPCL tender entails the establishment of an Inter-State Transmission System or Intra State Transmission at a voltage level of 132 kV or above connected to renewable power projects to deliver renewable power to HPCL. It also encompasses the identification of land, installation of project, project ownership, securing connectivity, getting approvals, and injecting power into the network.

The final point of delivery is the Trombay Substation. The developer will be responsible for power evacuation from the source of generation to the Injection Point.

An Earnest Money Deposit of INR 15.8 million must be submitted by the bidder. HPCL will enter into a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years with the successful bidder.

The government-owned oil marketing firm recently joined hands with Taiwanese battery swapping giant Gogoro to set up battery swapping stations all over India for deployment at HPCL’s retail outlets.

Earlier, HPCL also floated a tender for consultancy for 100 MW solar projects in Andhra Pradesh.
