Hanwha Q Cells to ship 141MW of Solar Modules to Mahindra Group

Hanwha Q Cells has announced that it has signed an agreement with Mahindra Susten Pvt. Ltd. to supply 141 megawatt solar photovoltaic module.

Hanwha Q Cells will ship HSL72 modules, which are produced in company’s production facility in China to the newly established renewable energy arm of the India’s sixth largest conglomerate Mahindra Group.

The company has exported the modules to more than 30 countries across the world. HSL 72S modules  will be used by Mahindra Group for a 280 megawatt solar power generation project in Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Telangana states.

Kim Maeng-yoon, managing director of the emerging market (EM) business division at Hanwha Q Cells, speaking to BusinessKorea said, “With the latest solar module supply deal with the Mahindra Group, which ranked first in terms of market share with 10.4 percent in the solar module installation and planning sectors in India as of the second quarter in 2016, Hanwha Q Cells will be able to strengthen its presence further in the Indian market.”
