Gujarat announced its rooftop solar plant policy in late-2015. The latest amendment is expected to provide economic benefit not only to the citizens, but also to the state’s economy by greater harnessing of renewable source of energy, protecting the environment at the same time. However, there would not be any change in the government’s subsidy scheme of Rs.10.000 per kW, subject to maximum limit of 2kW.
