Greenlight Planet introduces Sun King Charge, will be available for Rs. 1199 in India

Greenlight Planet has introduced its most affordable rechargeable lamp and solar panel named Sun King Charge. The device offers both lighting and mobile charging to off-grid consumers. It is listed on the company’s website in India with a price tag of Rs. 1199.

According to the company consumers can use the lamp and solar panel independently of each other for hours or days at a time. This will allow consumers to light their homes or workplace and charge their USB devices simultaneously during the day.

“In many off-grid communities, families either have to pay to charge their mobile devices or purchase low-quality solar devices which may not be safe for mobile phones,” said Patrick Walsh, CEO of Greenlight Planet. He added “We developed the Sun King Charge to offer a safe, reliable and high-quality solar lamp and charging device, at a price point within the rural consumer’s reach.”

Sun King Charge comes with bright 50 lumen white LED lamp that yields up to 72 hours of light from a single sunny day, with a long lasting Lithium Ferro-Phosphate battery.
