Green Stocks May 21: NTPC Green Stock Prices Up Amid Results

NTPC Green, the green arm of NTPC, today witnessed the highest rise in its stock price amid all green stocks we analyse every day. This coincided with the announcement of NTPC Green’s financial results. On the other hand, India’s renewable energy stocks closed on a mixed note Tuesday, with notable gains in select counters offset by sharp declines in others.

NTPC Green emerged as the top performer, surging 4.03% to close at ₹107.30. Waaree Energies also posted strong gains, rising 2.30% to ₹2,983.00, followed closely by Acme Solar, which advanced 2.29% to ₹243.05.

Other gainers included Suzlon Energy Ltd (+1.41%), Adani Green Ltd (+1.23%), Premier Energies (+0.80%), and TATA Power Ltd, which rose by 0.59% to ₹401.30. Inox Wind also edged higher by 0.16%.

However, several stocks in the clean power and renewables segment saw a pullback. Alpex Solar Ltd led the losers, falling 2.40% to ₹852.00. KPI Green Energy Ltd dropped 2.12%, while Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd and Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd declined by 1.03% and 0.78%, respectively.

Borosil Renewables Ltd and Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd also saw minor losses, dipping 0.18% and 0.12% each.

The sector remains in focus amid strong global sentiment for clean energy and growing interest in India’s green transition. Investors are keeping a close eye on policy developments and upcoming quarterly results to gauge further momentum.
